Carrollton, TX

The TMX Finance - Family of Companies is looking for a Compliance Data & Systems Analyst to join the team and assist in the design, implementation, and execution of audit techniques. Reporting to the Compliance Director, you will monitor and report on Compliance functions and partner with IT and Internal Audit teams to develop appropriate compliance data, audit items, and planning. You will also participate in system testing, tracking behavior, and analyzing data to determine areas of risk. Through extracting data and developing reports, you will be instrumental in enforcing compliance within systems and throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

Monitor new product development and related systems and participate in testing, planning, execution, reporting, and tracking system behavior.

Research and analyze various federal laws and regulations to determine potential impact on business processes and procedures and advise on best practices to implement to remain compliant with fast-paced regulatory expectations.

Assist in performing root cause analyses of issues identified as repeating and high risk through audits and other means so that corrective measures can be developed.

Track and regularly communicate issues that reveal compliance risk exposure to the Company.

Study and regularly test documents, ensuring that all disclosures remain in compliance with the addition of any new products, enhancements, or controlled releases.

Write and effectively communicate compliance policies, collaborating across various business units to ensure all issues are considered and fully vetted.

Participate in the audit and review of corporate and business unit operating activities to ensure internal compliance controls are implemented where necessary and existing controls are functioning as required. Specific operating units include Marketing and Advertising, Training, the centralized call center, and individual stores.

Assist in Complaint Management Program and Third-Party Vendor Management Program.

Additional duties to provide support within the Compliance Team, including assistance on projects and issues, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT related field or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of banking, data analytics, other financial or data privacy compliance, and/or internal audit experience
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Ability to independently manage, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail with robust data analysis skills
  • Ability to learn new tasks, systems, or processes quickly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strength in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to decipher and articulate concepts to various levels within the organization
  • Physical demands for this position frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely inside and occasionally outside of the office, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Knowledge of consumer protection laws (TILA, ECOA, FDCPA, GLBA, FCRA, EFTA and the Dodd-Frank Act)
    • CRCM certification
    • Prior experience with lending products
