As the Accounts Receivable clerk, you will ensure complete and systematic accounting records of receipts and disbursements in the organization by performing complex clerical and bookkeeping tasks and applying accepted procedures in preparing and maintaining accounting records. You must be accurate and reliable in handling accounts and invoices.

AR Clerk Duties/Responsibilities _Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions._ Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies. Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed. Assists with accounting records by reconciling monthly statements and transactions. Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash. Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information etc. Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed. Generates summary sheets for use by supervisor or auditor. Keeps track of ACH payment and sends out receipts Applies credit memos and reassigns customer credits when needed. Reaches out to customers with monthly statements and/or invoices. Performs other duties as assigned. AR Clerk Competencies Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy. Proficiency with MS Office products, including MS Outlook, Excel and Word. Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively. Proactive problem-solving ability. Excellent concentration Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures and the ability to train others in related practices and procedures. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. AR Clerk Education and Experience Minimum 1 years' experience in Accounting or Finance support role. Minimum 2 years' experience entering billing information. Flooring Industry knowledge is a plus.
