Join us and Apply today!What you will be doingITI Operations improvement engineer within the IT Infrastructure Command Center organization will have a responsibility to deliver robust, scalable, and innovative solutions to improve day-to-day operations and efficiencies to the business. This role will work with counterpart in another region on toils identification and reduction. Team member will be responsible for designing, building, testing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the existing automation solutions.Individual is expected to lead collaborative discussions with colleagues across IT Operations department to guarantee that automation solutions and improvements are fully meeting expectations. Members of this team are expected to proactively analyze trends to determine future opportunities to support IT Operations objectives. Individual must possess good communication skills and must be able to work collaboratively with leadership and technical colleagues.Additional functions include contribution to monitoring and observability infrastructure development, in accordance with security policies and guidelines set by the architecture teams. Might be required to help diagnose monitoring policy failures and take correctives action to ensure continuity of operations of the entire enterprise.Be able to provide end-to-end solutions from the requirement gathering/discovery phase to production roll-out.Demonstrate technical leadership and be proactively involved in automation strategy setting, advertise and encourage automation culture within the team.Be a go-to person for all automation related queries to ITCC colleagues, be able to represent the team in strategy calls and do training, KT or even mentorship if required.This is a new role within the team so you will be strongly involved in creating the best practices.Develop using industry best practices and adhering to internal standards.Clearly communicate initiative status, risks, challenges with ITCC Leadership; Present leadership and team members with iterative demonstrations to show development progressLeverage experience to bridge the knowledge gap between the technical and non-technical.What your background should look like 5+ years of experience in development, DevOps or similar roleExtensive experience in programming (JavaScript, Python, PowerShell is an advantage)Experience with automation orchestration tool(s) (Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, Rundeck, etc.)Familiar with SDLC, SAFe and Agile methodologiesFamiliar with ITSM tools (ServiceNow)Experience working with APM tools (New Relic, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, AppDynamics)Experience with integrating multiple systems via APIs (REST, SWDL, etc.)Experience with Agile delivery utilizing modern cloud-based software tools (I.e., JIRA, automated testing)Experience managing, tuning, and maintaining the right balance of alerting by eliminating non-actionable issues.Good analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutionsAbility to work in a dynamic and multidiscipline team, learn and apply new skills and techniques to respond to business needsAbility to communicate in English effectively both orally and in writingStrong teamwork and interpersonal skillsStrong knowledge of IT and passion to automate it all, motivated to constantly be up to date with the newest technologies and proactively bring ideas to the tableProactiveness and technical leadershipBe open for a change and drive/support initiatives to improve existing working practices.Strong efficiency orientation skillsAbility to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlinesWhat AmerisourceBergen offersWe offer competitive total rewards compensation.
