looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer in our Carrollton,
Texas location.The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible
for transforming product design documentation into manufacturing
work instructions and planning the manufacturing processes to
ensure desired quality and production yields are obtained.
Responsible for creating, documenting, developing & implementing
procedures used to assemble, inspect, test and/or manufacture the
products while utilizing flow strategies and poke yoke fixtures.
Responsible for improving overall process efficiency and related
issues including process development, scheduling, creating process
documentation, problem solving, & program management. Other duties
include the design, installation, & debugging of tooling and
fixtures. The Manufacturing Process Engineer is also responsible
for ensuring all processes conform to the Quality System
procedures, as required.How you will spend your time:Influence and
introduce manufacturing procedures to support flow techniques,
utilizing pictorial work instructions with all quality checks by
process work station based on derived Takt
times.Support/Direct/Build proto-type and validate documentation
from Engineering before release to manufacturing.Provide technical
leadership for lean/flow manufacturing process implementation
utilizing TQM/Kaizen philosophies.Train production team on new
processes and techniques.Execute the ECO process, support all
changes made to support transition to lean/flow processes.Write
test procedure and Work Instruction for Manufacturing.Ability to
identify manufacturing waste and plan projects to reduce or
eliminate identified waste.Design and build fixtures to support
production floor. Poke-yoke where possible.Identify safety issues
and perform preventive, predictive and corrective actions on all
production builds. Participate in Corrective Action teams to
identify and resolve root cause utilizing an 8-D
process.Participate in the evaluation and problem identification in
the RMA/RTV process.Participate in all design reviews to ensure
products are designed using existing tooling where ever possible.
Coordinate with engineering team to ensure product design is
capable of yielding processes to align with company quality and
production goals.Be an advocate for change within the manufacturing
organization to convert processes from batch to single piece
flow.Create, deploy and comply with Quality System policies,
procedures and work instructions or cause them to be
changed.Perform additional duties as requested (i.e. tooling
maintenance, repair, calibration, etc.).Mentor and manage QA
inspectors and production supervisors in lean strategies and
continuous improvement culture. We're excited if you have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.8 years
of experience in manufacturing process engineering. Skilled in
implementation of lean processes, with understanding of Takt time,
pictorial work instructions that build the inspection process into
the work flow, optimizing existing and new manufacturing
processes.The ability to work independently as well as in a team
environment. Strong verbal and written communications skills.The
ability to read and understand technical drawings, BOMs,
datasheets, schematic and written work instructions using Adobe,
CAD (SolidWorks) and Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power
Point)Computer skills that are strong enough to independently
create and maintain/manage manufacturing fixtures used to gain
