Description: As a medium-sized company with over 400 employees
located across North America, we have a high performing,
family-oriented team working together in support of our customer
first vision. We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to
work at our brand new, state of the art climate controlled facility
located in Lewisville, Texas. The Electrical Design Engineer will
design custom power, thermal, industrial and battery assemblies in
support of our value added business based on customer
specifications. The candidate will be responsible for designing and
managing complex engineering projects throughout the product life
cycle. Responsibilities also include coordinating with other
disciplines such as structural & mechanical. Designs will include
calculations, analysis, specifications, and drawings normally
required in the design & development processes. Proven experience
in design, repair and analysis of electronic systems and / or
electronic embedded controls. Strong knowledge with electrical
engineering design principles and methodologies. Consider joining a

- The Electrical Design Engineer prepare basic analysis,
feasibility, test, performance, schedule, and cost
information.
- The Electrical Design Engineer will research and design of
electrical circuits, components, and integrated systems.
- Develops new applications of components to products, or
systems.
- Prepares concept sketches, layouts, and specification
documents.
- Performs new product design, product improvements, test,
electrical reliability analysis, production liaison and service
liaison utilizing a variety of engineering disciplines.
- Integrates new technologies, techniques, and concepts to
enhance functionality, simplify designs, improve reliability, and
reduce production costs.
- Coordinates activities with other groups within the Engineering
department.
- Ensures product development and document designs comply with
Quality System requirements.
- Works with Manufacturing Engineering to plan and execute design
for manufacturability and design for testability activities.
- Works with project team members to identify and mitigate
development risks and produce development plans.
- The Electrical Design Engineer is able to identify, & develop
design activities and work to a defined time-line schedule.
- Integrates MATLAB create beam-forming algorithms into GUI panel
using NI LabVIEW.
- Initiates, reviews, evaluates and approves Engineering Change
Orders (ECOs) from both customers and the production team.
- Capable of mentoring others in good Engineering practices,
procedures and policies. We're excited if you have:
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical
Engineering.
- Familiarity with TI battery fuel gauge chipsets and software
tools.
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency with electrical design software (PADs software
preferred).
- Proficient in electronics rework, hand soldering, and usage of
various lab tools including oscilloscopes, electronic loads,
thermal chambers, power supplies and battery cycling
equipment.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of ultrasonic and resistance welding in support of
plastic assemblies.
- Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely
manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops
alternative solutions; Technical ability to resolve
mechanical/thermal issues.
- Collaborative.
