customers. We are currently looking for a Distribution Center
Manager in our climate controlled Carrollton, Texas location. The
typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m. The DC Manager is accountable for effectively leading and
managing the various distribution center functions including
receiving/stocking, order processing, special programs, shipping
activities within warehouse operations to consistently deliver
desired results. You will operate as the subject matter expert and
escalation point to resolve issues and will be accountable for
continuously looking for improvements in operational processes and
designs, implementing those initiatives relative to quality, cost,
and timing results. This role optimizes the contribution of the
team through coaching and counseling, and implements workable
solutions to business issues with minimum referral to management.
This role conducts work planning, estimation and prioritization to
optimize performance of team and works to define standards and
reusable approaches for the warehouse operations. In addition, this
position is responsible for the location's facilities maintenance
and management. How you will spend your time: --- Ensure the
department is adequately staffed with properly trained personnel.
Develops and manages Supervisors. Work with Management to resolve
personnel problems, particularly those of a more complex nature.
--- Guide supervisors in the more complex phases of work to ensure
that excellent service levels, low transactional cost, superior
quality levels and safety, security and housekeeping objectives are
achieved. Performing area tasks and transactions as necessary. ---
Manage the warehouse management system (WMS) to achieve same day
service metrics. --- Ensure timely processing and coordination of
major DC activities. --- Implement innovative processes in order to
improve efficiencies and market competitiveness. --- Identify and
report DC needs and future opportunities to support budgeted sales
volume, control costs and provide the desired service level. ---
Review managerial reports and measurements related to the
Distribution Center operations. --- Adhere to and manage the
implementation of established procedures to ensure compliance to
both corporate and quality policies. --- Maintain the facility in a
clean, orderly, safe and secure condition. --- Ensure a safe
working environment for self and others by adhering to established
safe operating expectations and by following established
housekeeping requirements. Notifies management of any observed
safety hazards. We're excited if you have: --- Possession of a
Bachelor's degree preferred. --- At least Five (5) years
professional experience in Warehouse/Production Management. ---
Knowledge of modern principles and practices of production,
organization, administration, logistics and management;
productivity, production and personnel reports and practices
required. --- The skills of monitoring and analyzing all processes
related to warehousing production. Planning, coordinating and
directing varied and complex operations; communicating clearly and
effectively orally and in writing; dealing constructively with
conflict, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from a wide
variety of sources and taking appropriate action; and selecting,
supervising, training, and evaluating employees. --- Knowledge of
computer systems, WMS, forklift, scales, RF devices, conveyor
system, carousels, ticket printers, label printers, shipping
system, ESD equipment, auto bagger and PC. Special re-packaging
tools. --- The ability to lift up to 70 lbs., reach, stand and
