      • Competitive pay Job Description The Operations Manager contributes to Mattress Firm's success by overseeing the efficient day-to-day operations of multiple functions within their assigned distribution center.
        • Manages and develops members of the distribution center team
        • Contributes to meeting overall financial objectives of the distribution center (DC) compared to budget
        • Creates and fosters an environment of trust, open two-way communication, and cohesive team effort
        • Ensures the team follows standardized operational processes in accordance with safety policies and procedures
        • Ensures alignment with strategic vision and communicates organizational mission and values to the team
        • Educates team members and contract employees on customer satisfaction measures and holds them accountable to results
        • Ensures the DC provides World Class Service to internal and external customers
        • Holds one-on-one meetings with direct reports at least twice a month
        • Collaborates with sales partners to ensure delivery of exceptional customer service
        • Facilitates resolution of customer service issues
        • Assists in managing the DC schedule
        • Conducts required physical cycle counts; reviews discrepancies and makes appropriate corrections
        • Provides safety and other training and periodic retraining to all team members and contract employees in the DC
        • Recruits, interviews, and participates in hiring process for potential DC team members
        • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all
        • Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts
        • Takes an active role in onboarding and training new DC team members
        • Identifies opportunities and drives continuous improvement initiatives in the DC
