They are responsible for the planning and coordination of all the audio, video, and lighting systems on campusincluding staffing and training the AVL teams for services and events.General Qualifications for Position:

• College degree
• Strong personal faith and a Biblical foundation that aligns with First Methodist Carrollton
• Experience operating & maintaining A/V/L systems
• Experience working with and leading worship teams and services
• Proficiency in a variety of technological fields, including VoIP telephony, wireless configuration, IT security, and both Windows and Mac computersResponsibilities:
  • Oversee the outlining of weekly worship services in Planning Center Online in collaboration with Pastoral and Worship staff
  • Lead the weekly Worship Staff meeting ensuring the team is aware of and prepared for all elements of the upcoming worship services
  • Directly oversee the Sunday Worship Service AVL production teams
  • Coordinate with the Music Director and Connections Coordinator to ensure all Sunday Worship Service volunteer teams are filled
  • Serve as the Worship Service Producer supporting Worship Staff and volunteers while executing highly efficient and excellent quality worship services
  • Recruit, create documentation/training materials, and train volunteer teams to facilitate cameras, livestreams, live video switching, ProPresenter, and house/stage lights for services
  • Re-set AV equipment on stage to facilitate sanctuary use for groups and special events
  • Coordinate AV support for special events, weddings, funerals
  • Coordinate with Audio Engineer to ensure stage is reset for worship and that direct boxes, mics, IEMs, are in place and correctly labeled for each service or event
  • Manage, verify integrity, and schedule livestreams for online platforms
  • Manage, maintain, and service AVL equipment
  • Working knowledge of industry standards of AVL equipment and ability to work effectively with vendors for the installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed
  • Responsible for hands-on, day-to-day building-wide IT operations
  • Develop and adhere to a budget for the church's technological needs
  • Develop a plan for life-cycle management of computer and network hardware
  • Provide technical support for digital communications (including website)
  • Oversee routine maintenance on the church's network (sometimes outside of normal work hours)
  • Manage the church's relationship with technological vendors

As United Methodists, we follow the calendar and liturgies of the Christian year. We celebrate Advent leading up to Christmas, and we journey through Lent and Holy Week before celebrating Easter. We focus on the major events that were important in Jesus' life, so that we can learn to be like Him and love God and people just as He did. As United Methodists, we talk a lot about grace. God's grace is extended to everyone, and He is constantly working to draw all people to Himself. We celebrate the ways God gives His grace to us and the ways we can extend His grace to others. We experience God's grace together as we celebrate Holy Communion, baptism, prayer, worship, and the study of the Scriptures.
