Job Description:
OverviewAmtrust Financial Services, a fast-growing commercial
insurance company, is seeking a Workers' Compensation Team Lead.
The WC Team Lead collaborates with Claim Adjusters to manage and
ensure that Workers' Compensation claims are handled according to
Amtrust Best Practices. The role involves developing and
maintaining professional relationships with customers and brokers
by identifying and meeting their needs, and ensuring staff
demonstrates excellent customer service principles.This position
offers relocation assistance to Dallas, TX.Responsibilities
- Develop short-range area plans and budgets with Claim
Supervisors and the Manager to achieve company goals and
objectives.
- Secure, evaluate, and develop staff; ensure effective
teamwork.
- Keep Claim Supervisors and the Manager informed of current case
statuses through regular communication and reports.
- Ensure compliance with all AmTrust policies, procedures, and
controls; consult with Claims Supervisors on claim areas needing
improvement.
- Work with staff to ensure the use of approved vendors; monitor
attorney vendor panel; meet with firms to discuss action plans for
cost-effective and efficient claims mitigation.
- Collaborate with Supervisors on monitoring claims, ensuring
proactive, cost-effective, and creative cost management.
- Participate in negotiations of claim settlements; testify at
hearings, trials, and depositions to ensure timely and
cost-effective resolutions.
- Support sales and marketing goals by participating in
underwriting activities, including new business development.
- Evaluate the performance of claims staff regularly to ensure
adherence to company standards and quality control, including
conducting audits.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws and regulations and
communicate updates to staff.
- Perform other assigned projects.Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent.
- 3+ years of progressive management experience preferred.
- Experience in the Workers' Compensation insurance
industry.
- SIP certification where required.
- Knowledge of budgeting and profit/loss management.
- Experience with computerized claims management and office
systems.
- Thorough understanding of related laws and regulations.This job
