Human Resource Generalist
The TMX Finance-- Family of Companies is looking for a Human
Resources ("HR") Generalist to become part of a team dedicated to
providing the highest level of support and partnership to the
entire organization. You will serve as a strategic business partner
on a variety of HR-related matters, such as employee relations,
best practices, and performance management. You would use your
expertise in employment laws and conflict management coupled with
your client-serving mindset to help guide our Team Members to
succeed in whatever project or task they aim to accomplish,
ensuring the protection and support system needed for our business
to grow and thrive.

Currently, in our stores and Corporate offices, we're practicing
social distancing, wearing face coverings (subject to certain
exemptions), cleaning frequently, and following state and local
requirements as well as Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines
to help ensure a clean and safe environment for all. As the
situation evolves, changes may be made to our practices, in line
with state and local mandates as well as CDC-guidelines.
Assist Team Members and line managers with employee relations,
interpreting and understanding the Company Employee Handbook, with
separation and corrective action procedures and paperwork, and with
onboarding and off-boarding, all the while ensuring required
documents are collected, processed, and correctly input into the HR
Manage the HR Complaint Hotline, including call-backs, escalation
of calls to the appropriate manager, investigations relating to
calls and complaints, etc.
Partner with leadership Company-wide and within HR to implement
special projects, and administer specialty incentive programs and
employee relations campaigns.
Create, read, and interpret reports for HR-related activities,
including background checks, EEO reporting, and more. Also, assist
with other duties and projects as needed.
Serve as a subject matter expert for all administrative facets of
human resources, including, but not limited to unemployment,
immigration, employee relations, employee hotline, background
screenings, UltiPro navigation.
Assist and support field client groups in an employee relations and
conflict resolution capacity.
Provide support to Hiring Managers and Human Resource Management
regarding departmental optimization and effectiveness.
- Associate degree combined with experience in Human
- Minimum 0-3 years of experience in HR
- Knowledge of commonly used HR concepts, practices, and
- Intimate knowledge of State and Federal employment laws,
including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and FLSA Wage &
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced in investigative techniques and practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain
- Physical demands for this position frequently include: the
ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely
inside and occasionally outside of the office, and the operation of
mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- PHR, SHRM-CP
