The Payroll Specialist will assist in processing activities including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording deductions, processing garnishments and levies, and processing terminations and final checks.Prepares source data for entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.Enters all new hires, terms, and changes daily.Performs full range of payroll processing activities including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording deductions, processing garnishments and levies, and processing terminations and final checks. Assists with W-2 processing and distribution at year-end. Issues replacements as necessary.Reviews various payroll reports for out of balance conditions and makes corrections as necessary.Assists branch personnel with information requests such as payroll problems, wage verifications, payroll histories.Distributes payroll reports to appropriate branch personnel.Coordinates and assists branch offices in meeting deadlines for completion of the weekly payroll.Completes federal and state statistical reports, information requests and unemployment audits as required. Additional accounting/payroll courses or equivalent experience preferred.Three (3) to Five (5) years of payroll experience; PeopleSoft 9.0 or higher, a plusData experience strongly preferred
