Job Description:
This is a hybrid position working at the office in Carrollton,
TX two days a week.

have experience managing the full product design and development
life cycle?
We are looking for an Associate Product Developer responsible for
bringing products from concept to confirmation and creating
beautiful, high quality, innovative, and personalizable products
for Leatherology.

handbags and accessories have been worn by celebrities, including
Reese Witherspoon, Serena Williams, Mandy Moore, Mindy Kaling, Lily
Collins, Rachel Zoe, Demi Moore, Jonathan Van Ness, and more.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support Creative Director and Merchandising Team
- Develop new products from concept through final confirmation and
make running changes to existing styles as needed.
- Possess technical ability to create new spec sheets, detail
products, and correct samples accurately with minimal
prototyping.
- Manage sample development budget, ordering materials and ensure
timely vendor payment and PO reconciliation.
- Manage and organize samples including ordering final photography
samples and archiving final SMS and production samples for
reference library.
Maintain production document and details including costing and
necessary product information.
- Determine personalization options for each product, and develop
dies, tools, and standards needed with our Operations team to
ensure product can be successfully personalized.
- Research product opportunities, silhouettes, materials, and new
ways to innovate and improve existing product, from a design and
production efficiency standpoint.
- Maintain consistent trim, hardware, and logo standards.
- Maintain Product Launch Calendar
- Manage the entire product development lifecycle calendar.
- Stay on top of factory correspondence to make sure schedules and
material ordering deadlines are met.
- Maintain shared product launch calendar and product
attributes.
- Coordinate new product handoff with all relevant details to
marketing, content, and customer service teams, as well as
coordinating any samples needed for press and marketing.
Sourcing
- Source product, negotiate costing, and manage vendor
relationships.
- Create and submit purchase orders and follow-up to ensure timely
delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in design, merchandising, or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in product development as a
product developer, product development coordinator, production
coordinator or designer.
- Strong technical understanding of small leather goods and handbag
construction
- Outstanding eye for detail and obsessive about quality.
- Proficient in Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word,
PowerPoint).
