Job Description:

Clean Harbors is seeking a dedicated Utility Driver within our Transportation & Logistics department to join our mission of protecting the environment through effective transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. This role involves managing multiple service tasks, including collection, transportation, and delivery, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations. As a key member of our field operations team, the Utility Driver will contribute directly to our efforts in sustainability and environmental protection, aligning with our corporate commitment to a safer and cleaner world. Safely operate vehicles to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies. Perform daily maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment and report any issues to management to ensure operational safety and efficiency. Load and unload waste materials in a manner that prevents spills and ensures all materials are secured during transport. Maintain accurate and compliant transport logs and documentation, including manifests and service confirmations. Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure clear understanding of timelines and job specifications. Participate in training and emergency response drills to stay updated on the latest safety and operational procedures. Proficiency in operating various transportation vehicles, including heavy trucks. Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and waste disposal regulations. Ability to navigate and use GPS and other routing devices effectively. Strong organizational skills to handle logs and compliance documents. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat Endorsement. DOT Medical Card. OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Certification preferred.
