Job Description:
Position DescriptionPosition DescriptionResponsible for the
compliance, integrity, and clinical quality of rehabilitation
services. With the direction from the COO and/or SVP of Operations,
the position will oversee, direct and coordinate compliance
activities and clinical education and programs associated with the
operations of the Rehabilitation Services through the delivery of
cost effective and quality services. Expected to exercise
management responsibility over the areas ensuring efficient
services that are designed to meet the needs of patients,
physicians, clinical partners and staff.Principal
Responsibilities--- Assume responsibility as Compliance
Specialist--- Understand and practice compliance standards,
including HIPAA confidentiality and security, and Medicare required
documentation--- Establishes policies and procedures for compliance
with all regulations; monitors compliance to policies and
procedures--- Maintain comprehensive, internal Compliance Policies
in all relevant areas and ensure that they are effectively
implemented--- Develop compliance training programs in all relevant
areas and ensure implementation--- Responsibility of investigations
to assure compliance with our code of conduct, established policies
& procedures and regulatory --- Communicate findings and
remediation actions to executive leaders to ensure awareness and
issue management is being addressed efficiently--- Track and
analyze state and federal rules and regulations, specifically
related to rehabilitation services regarding Medicare, Medicare
Advantage, Part B, Managed B, and Medicaid plans--- Monitor
industry best practices and make recommendations for organizational
policy and procedure change that will result in compliance---
Efficiently and effectively document information and activities so
they can be tracked, trended and utilized for compliance
verification and process improvement--- Collaborate with legal
counsel, operations leaders, and others as appropriate---
Investigate, document, and respond to concerns and inquiries---
Report findings and remediation actions and communicate to
executive leaders to ensure awareness and issue management is being
addressed efficiently and secure continuous improvement---
Responsible for all aspects of service line programs/activities,
including program development, patient satisfaction and performance
improvement activities--- Provides leadership support to
Rehabilitation Service directors and therapist in the form of
resources, tools, education and training--- Assists with
preparations of rehabilitation services for licensure certification
surveys--- Responsible for the appeals and denials department to
ensure claims are processed timely with required documentation for
successful ADRs. Track and trend denials and provide appropriate
operational education and actions based on trends--- Responsible
for keeping up-to-date on current practices in the field through
review of literature, attending conferences and seminars,
continuing education requirements, licensing and compliance
needs--- Travel within the service areas to provide support,
education, training, investigations, seminars, continuing
education, and compliance needs--- Other duties, responsibilities
and activities may change or assigned at any time with or without
notice**Must have a rehabillitation background with compliance
