TITLE: Senior Front End Developer

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

DUTIES: Applies software engineering and design theories and principles in researching, designing, and developing products using HTML, CSS, Angular.js, Node.js, React, React Native, GraphQL.

Participates in Agile software development projects to design, code, and test websites and Webservices to deliver quality services promptly. Webservices may run on a Node.js server on prem or as microservices either in the corporate core network or in the cloud.

Develops/codes complex application components based on detail designs developed from business user stories.

Translates user stories to tasks relating to process and data requirements. Provides broad understanding of platforms and applications across multiple technologies. Engages in execution and performance of production support tasks for multiple mortgage production applications. Ensures all support tasks conform to established standards, including incident management, communications, IT compliance, and risk management. Ensures performance meets or exceeds business user/customer SLA and expectations.

REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science, or related.

Three (3) years of required experience in development, information systems, or related, must include (experience/skills can be gained pre or post Master's degree): Three (3) years of experience in all phases of development and supporting information systems and technologies and associated methodologies. Three (3) years of development experience using the following languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular.js, and Node.js. Three (3) years of experience in middleware and platform experience with Web Services (RESTful / Soap). Two (2) years of experience working in an Agile environment: Scrum and Kanban. Two (2) years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD technologies, such as JIRA, Confluence, Crucible, BitBucket (or other Git servers), and Jenkins. Experience must also include: Application software technology paradigms such as web microservices, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and supporting programming languages; Testing and debugging websites; Web markup including HTML5 and CSS3; Asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX; and Experience in cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

ALTERNATE EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related, and five (5) years of experience in development, information systems, or related. Must have skills listed above.
