Full Job Description


The Clinical Support assists our Physician and Nursing staff in the clinic with documenting the patient encounter into the EMR system. They also perform various patient care tasks, and exhibit teamwork characteristics with Physicians and other staff members. Additional clinical and administrative tasks include (but are not limited to):


Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information on patients charts

Assists patients will filling out procedure consent forms


Schedules patients for diagnostic testing and follows up to ensure completion of testing


Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by Physician

Formulates and documents patient care plans, charts, tests and examination results in the medical record

Escalates non-routine issues to the Office Manager or Physician

Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients

Demonstrate sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations

Maintains a positive, caring attitude towards patients

Good computer skills using a medical management application & prior experience with EMRs preferred

Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

Demonstrates initiative, insight, and judgement in decision-making process

Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation & procedures


Educational & Experience Requirements


High school diploma or equivalent

At least six months of related Medical Assistant experience not required but recommended

Will train candidates with desire to learn, dedication and commitment

Valid Drivers License required
