$2,500 Sign-On Bonus*!As the Data Analyst, you will be a valued
member of cross-department teams that regularly participate in data
'journeys' which in turn lead to new KPIs, decisions and data
accessibility/visibility for our data-driven organization. You will
become a thought leader within the IT Business Intelligence
organization while growing & enhancing the team's quantitative
capabilities. In this position you will collaborate with all areas
of our business (following the complete data/customer lifecycle) to
collect & analyze large sets of data, steer & conduct analyses, and
in turn generate reporting that will provide value to our business
and assist in steering business direction.ResponsibilitiesDevelop
solutions for analyzing, summarizing, and reporting across the
broad data subjects at TMX. In turn, these solutions should be
automated and delivered based on SLAs. While also maintaining
responsibility for your output by regularly reviewing accuracy &
changes to systems that may have to be incorporated.Implement
reporting solutions that are trusted, stable and valued, while
using technology that is within our portfolio and applying
practices. Choosing the right technology for a specific challenge
will be measured.Collaborate with IT and business partners on
reporting needs, often providing guidance on visualization methods
and standard approaches. The ideal candidate will be able to obtain
a position of a knowledge export on subjects and be able to sustain
that position.Drive innovation within our data warehouse to improve
on our capabilities and accessibility. Reporting needs lead to
additional objects and attributes in our DW. The candidate will be
partnering with data engineer peers to articulate needs and assist
in designing these new objects.Manage new KPI development &
visualizations based on subjects that affect our field & corporate
performance. Our data-driven business relies on KPIs to effectively
manage. The candidate will work alongside business peers to define,
design and bring that measurement to life. Communicate on the
status of a reporting initiative to stakeholders, clients &
management. The candidate will treat this positive with a
service-center mindset and communicate is key to effectively
managing those relationships.Participate in the cross-department
backend design sessions relating to system enhancements and new
product offerings, while also relaying system design needs in order
to adhere to reporting requirements.QualificationsBachelor's degree
from an accredited university or college in computer science, or
equivalent experience, includingAt least 4 years performing
detailed data analysisAdvanced knowledge of ANSI SQL; direct
experience on T-SQL/Microsoft SQL Server is the most desiredStrong
working knowledge of ExcelDirect experience with at least two of
the following: SQL Server, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services),
Power BI, R, PythonStrong experience with data mining & analysis;
Ability to conduct extensive data research and handle
large/multiple datasetsCapable of communicating and expressing
ideas clearly & concisely, in both written & oral formatsHighly
organized and detail-oriented with proven ability to
multi-taskSelf-motivated, independent, and resourcefulCapable of
being objective and giving/taking constructive feedbackA natural
proclivity for questioning assumptions and challenging
orthodoxiesPreferred QualificationsExperience with Salesforce would
be idealDirect/Hands-on experience with Power BI & SQL Server
weighted more positivelyIntermediate+ knowledge of DAX would be an
assetExperience in Financial Services, Risk Management, Subprime
Lending, Loan Portfolio Analysis Evidence of having created
relevant dashboards that had an impact on the businessPhysical
demands for this position frequently include: the ability to remain
in a stationary position, move about freely inside and occasionally
outside of the office, and the operation of mechanical controls,

90 th day of active employment, if eligibility criteria are met per
