We are currently looking for a Production Supervisor in our climate controlled facility located in Carrollton, Texas. The typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Production Supervisor is accountable for supervising and coordinating daily operations support to Sales, Product Marketing and Finance, to consistently deliver desired results. Position is responsible for developing a successful team by hiring qualified personnel, utilizing effective communication and motivational techniques, providing ongoing performance management and for ensuring ongoing personal and professional development of self and staff. This is a key role in employee morale, retention and engagement. The Production Supervisor is also accountable for providing technical support to the team; performing ongoing problem analysis and resolution; and for ensuring safety, security and housekeeping objectives are achieved. In addition, this position is accountable for continuous improvement in all areas of assigned responsibility relative to quality, cost, and timing results.How you will spend your time:--- Develop and manage productive teams for operations department(s) utilizing effective communication and motivational techniques, providing ongoing performance management, rewarding higher levels of performance and by providing effective training, development and succession planning. Work with Production Manager in hiring qualified personnel, and to resolve personnel problems, particularly those of a more complex nature.--- Manage and monitor daily activities of the manufacturing processes to ensure excellent service levels, low transactional cost, superior quality levels are achieved.--- Analyze managerial reports and measurements related to Manufacturing Operations.--- Identify, develop and conduct process training to ensure all team members exhibit the required skills to yield the expected quality results.--- Ensures compliance with ISO/AS standards by ensuring polices and processes are properly documented and implemented and by ensuring all employees are trained in standard operations procedures.--- Customarily and regularly directs the work of 8-15 full-time employees or their equivalent. Makes suggestions and recommendations for these employees regarding performance and change of status, including transfer, advancement, termination, and hiring.--- In concert with the Production Manager, effectively performs administrative aspects of position, including but not limited to, timely completion of performance reviews, reviewing timesheets, submitting payroll change forms, approving vacation and PTO request, coordinating system access and security levels and maintaining quality records.--- Participates in detailed research regarding quality issues and implement corrective action plans as needed.--- Ensures equipment is properly maintained by ensuring preventative maintenance procedures are followed and by coordinating with Production Manager to ensure maintenance is performed as needed.--- Plans labor requirements based on operation workloads and skill sets needed and recommends staffing needs to Production Manager for concurrence/approval.--- Maintains effective communications with peers (on alternate shifts) to ensure operations are seamlessly transitioned.--- Develops and maintains functional and cross-functional partnerships and teams to aid in effective Manufacturing Operations. --- Performs random verification audits on production processes to ensure team member adherence, including part inspection as required.--- Maintain the factory in a clean, orderly, safe and secure condition--- Actively cross trains in other areas, as required, outside of primary job function.--- Ensures a safe working environment for self and others.
