What you will be doing

A sales position whose primary responsibility is lead generation through prospecting, qualifying, and developing B2B leads via phone. Position performs research from the internet, existing sales files, and the SOS lead generation program to identify viable prospects capable of producing room revenue for the brands. Position will perform research on revenue opportunities from prospective and existing clients using defined sales parameters to determine the value of the opportunity for the brands. Position requires sales calls via telephone with appropriate follow-up. Sales activity, account information and call notes to be documented in Goldmine per Goldmine standards. Sales activity to be tracked via weekly report and Goldmine database,

  • Daily communication with internal/external sales customers and prospects
  • Maintain accuracy of client files via Goldmine database
  • Provide support and training to General Managers in local markets that need assistance
  • Research leads and new client opportunities through internet prospecting sources
  • Qualify customers for B2B sales opportunities
  • Maintain and develop an assigned base of accounts as needed

    What we are searching for

    Position requires effective communication skills, excellent internet research skills and the ability to use independent judgment regarding B2B sales potential with external clients. Position requires advanced sales skills combined with strong organization/time management skills. Candidate must be able to perform duties and tasks with weekly supervision and reporting.

    We feel the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a hotel sales office environment or equivalent
    • Advanced selling skills and knowledge of the economy lodging customer and the G6 Sales programs and locations
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills in addition to strong organizational/time management skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Goldmine
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks/lists and to work independently
    • Must be proficient in meeting deadlines
