Job Description:
Responsible for the sale and support of irrigation products into
the professional greenhouse and nursery markets. Duties include
customer consultation, project design, estimating, sales, and
after-sales support. Responsibilities also include regular travel
with outside sales staff to meet with potential customers and
develop sales opportunities in partnership with key irrigation

Functions Statement(s)Irrigation Sales Lead - Serve as the sales
lead for all incoming irrigation calls from BWI customers and sales
staff. Travel with salespeople as necessary to develop irrigation
related sales opportunities within the BWI distribution
area.Technical Support Lead - Provide technical support to BWI
customers and sales staff as necessary for all irrigation
components, equipment, and systems.Project Design - Manage all
aspects of irrigation project design. This includes consultation
with the customer to understand their needs and project
requirements, collaborating with vendor partners to select the best
products for that application, and formalizing a proposal based on
solutions that meet the customer's needs while staying within their
budget.Vendor Relations - Serve as the primary BWI contact to
irrigation vendors. Manage vendor relationships with the goal of
strengthening our partnerships, growing our business with key
vendors, and enhancing the service we provide to our
customers.Irrigation Training - Responsible for coordinating
irrigation product training within the BWI sales staff as well as
providing product and general irrigation training for BWI customers
as necessary.Trade Show Participation - Attend industry trade shows
and other sales related events as directed to promote irrigation
sales in various markets.Perform all other duties as directed by
the Horticulture Marketing Manager.Education: Bachelor's Degree
(four-year college or university) requiredExperience: One to two
years related sales experience (preferred)Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,
etc.)
