As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be on the frontline of maintaining the integrity and security of our nation's borders. This role involves rigorous fieldwork, constant vigilance, and exceptional teamwork to prevent illegal entry and activities across American borders. Detect and prevent the illegal entry and smuggling of undocumented aliens and goods into the United States Perform line-watch duties, traffic check, traffic observation, city patrol, transportation check, administrative, intelligence, and anti-smuggling activities Use electronic detection systems and enforce international and domestic laws, including the Immigration and Nationality Act Apprehend suspects and engage in criminal investigative duties Maintain accurate reports and record activities according to CBP protocols Strong observational skills Ability to perform physically demanding tasks High proficiency in using law enforcement databases and software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Must successfully complete CBP Border Patrol training academy U.S. citizenship required Valid driver’s license Pass a rigorous background check, medical examination and drug testing Bilingual abilities are a plus, though not required
