Job Description Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead HVAC Service Technician to spearhead our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) service operations. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of skilled technicians, oversee complex HVAC system repairs and installations, and ensure the highest standards of service quality. Your expertise in mechanical systems, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting will drive efficiency and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate HVAC service activities, including system diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and installations across commercial and residential properties. Supervise field technicians, providing guidance on technical procedures, safety protocols, and customer interactions to ensure top-tier service delivery. Interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately troubleshoot issues and execute precise repairs or upgrades. Perform advanced equipment repair tasks involving refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration units, boilers, air conditioning units, and appliance repairs. Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for mechanical repairs. Maintain comprehensive documentation of service activities, including detailed reports on repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to HVAC/R systems, plumbing codes, property maintenance regulations, and environmental guidelines. Skills Extensive experience with construction processes related to HVAC system installation and property maintenance projects. Proven background as a service technician with strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents accurately. Skilled in plumbing work associated with HVAC systems as well as refrigeration technology including ammonia refrigeration systems. Proficient in diagnosing electrical issues using tools like ohmmeters and performing equipment repair with precision. Knowledge of field service operations including troubleshooting air conditioning units, boilers, appliances, and other mechanical equipment. Experience with welding techniques necessary for repairing or fabricating HVAC components. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Familiarity with mechanical systems such as pumps, valves, ductwork installation, and maintenance of commercial HVAC units.
